We progress to New Brighton and Wallasey Village, with its tales of smugglers and customs men, the fairground and bracing sea air, the lighthouse and the forts. Finally, we take in Poulton and Seacombe with its docklands, distantly remembered railway stations and its famous ferry, before completing our tour in Egremont with its cinemas and many fine churches.
